KSPA Judging Night

Seems like so long ago that I was involved in a high school activity, mostly because it has been almost 20 years. Back then I was deeply involved in photojournalism. My high school teacher expected that we treat the journalism program as if were a job and not just a school activity. We spent countless hours in the darkrooms burning, dodging, processing. After all our hard work we had the ability to enter contests to compete against all the other high school photographers in Kansas. I was honored to win several times. Winning was such an amazing feeling and kept me inspired to try harder with every click of the shutter. So when I was asked to be a judge for this years competition I was so excited.
